    Due to Badminton Association of India's 'informal rule' which allows only players in the top-25 of BWF world rankings to be eligible for financial assistance from the federation and the Sports Authority of India, leading players like Sourabh Verma, Parupalli Kashyap, have been forced to arrange for their own funding to compete in Super Series and Grand Prix.
