    Pak: Senior ANP leader survives assassination attempt

    A senior leader of the Awami National Party (ANP) on Monday survived an assassination attempt when heavily-armed militants opened fire on him during a meeting with his party workers in Pakistan's troubled Balochistan province, a police officer said.
